Since the Gears of War 2 release date starts in mere minutes, you know we’ll have the best Gears of War 2 walkthrough any minute now!
In the mean time let’s fill you in on Gaming Bits’ post about Gears of War 2 Developer Midnight Launch Events. Major metropolises, including Los Angeles, New York, Bellvue, and London are throwing some serious late-night parties to celebrate, but you can still probably get in on the action, with a whole slew of stores like Best Buy making their doors stay open. The Gears of War 2 release date is here, and you should be able to easily find a place opening soon, take a look around!

One thing to consider before you spend your hard earned cash, especially if the multiplayer is important to you, is GameCherry’s post, “Epic Gets Creative With GOW2 Resales”. A handful of multiplayer maps (the number says five) taken straight out of Gears of War 1 have been retooled for Gears of War 2. There’s a catch - the maps can’t be installed more than once, so if you were to buy a new copy, install the maps, and then sell it back to a store, the next person that buys the used copy won’t be able to get the maps at all. Something to think about for sure…
